Spring is a good time for a vacation. The lake normally be an appropriate location to spend the holidays, letting go of daily fatigue. Usually when you're on vacation, everything can be out of control and not a few who ended up regretting what they did in the holidays. The same problem also faced by the citizens of Lake Victoria which is usually always get a lot of tourists visit during the holiday season.
Typically, Lake Victoria is always crowded in the holiday season. In a trice the number of inhabitants of a small town on the shores of this lake could rise to ten times that. Holiday season is always inconvenient for local residents, especially Sheriff Julie Forester (Elizabeth Shue), who must always be alert to avoid people from the usual problems that arise. This time there are others with Lake Victoria. Problems usually stay there but this time increases with a problem that is much more severe.
Suddenly the lake in the city was so full of human predators of fish. The victim began to fall and to convince tourists not to go near the lake is also not an easy task. What is imagined in your mind when hearing the title Piranha 3D? B Movie? Obviously! And interestingly, this film includes honest. There was no attempt to make it like a quality film. Absolutely nothing! And it seems to honesty it is feasible to appreciate the film more than any other B movie trying to look like movie quality.
Piranha is a wild creature that is always fascinating. Evidence, from 1978, there have been four films with a theme about this predatory fish, including Piranha 3D. In fact, Piranha 3D is actually the second remake of the original movie that circulated in 1978. In charge of this time was Alexandre Aja who also directed THE EYES HAVE Hills.

Hardly any story plot while the characters in it was not too convincing. But that apparently did not matter because this movie was made for 'entertaining'. If you are the sort of person who likes to watch women's half-naked, blood, and a member of a separate body, could be a Piranha 3D this is the movie for you.

though it was passed a few years, but Professor Trevor (Brendan Fraser) could never forget the events of the mysterious disappearance of Max, his brother. And this mystery became more complicated when Sean (Josh Hutcherson), son of Max appears.

Sean came for a vacation. But Sean also brought some documents left by his father that says that there are roads that lead to the bowels of the earth. Intrigued by the 'evidence' of this new, Trevor then took Sean to Iceland where the expected path toward the center of the earth is located.

To launch this impossible journey, Professor Trevor pays Hannah (Anita Briem) to be the guiding path. Although initially a bit hesitant with the 'crazy idea' Trevor, Hannah finally agreed to become a guide road adventure this nonsense.

Professor Trevor and his team finally managed to find a way like clues left by his brother. However, this trip ended up to be the most exciting adventure they've ever experienced. Did the professor finds its way into the center of the earth?

This film may not be the first film adaptation spectacular works of Jules Verne's novel. Some directors had ever tried to visualize this legendary novel manuscript. What makes this movie so different from the previous adaptation is probably the decision to make this film a three dimensional format. And no half-hearted, three-dimensional when most movies only make a few scenes are in 3D format, the film is actually completely made in 3D format. Because fully captured in 3D format, then inevitably you'll often get a 'surprise' that is sometimes not necessary and memorable too excessive.

The director, Eric Brevig, formerly known as the 'master' of visual effects that had worked on the movie TOTAL RECALL try Jules Verne wild ideas into visual forms that are filled with scenes of shocking. Judging from the visual side, this movie is really awesome. The scene that actually happened could not possibly look so natural and real.

But the benefits of this film ultimately rests only on the visual side of it alone. From the side of the story, maybe we are fed up with the idea of Jules Verne is now proven that it's absurd that this film is so impressed absurd. And this is compounded with several scenes that seemed to give the impression of this absurd, as when three key players should be dropped from high altitudes without suffering the slightest injury.

From the script there was no dialogue was actually quite 'strong' so as to boost the 'credibility' of this film. This is unfortunate because of Brendan Fraser's acting is actually pretty good. In fact, arguably, after playing in the trilogy, The Mummy, Brendan became synonymous with adventurous character. It could be the replacement candidate Brendan is Harrison Ford when he plans to end his career as Indiana Jones.

The film begins with a hostage situation in Los Angeles; this was loosely based on the 1997 North Hollywood shootout. Officer Jim Street (Colin Farrell), a former Navy SEAL and hot-shot cop from the Los Angeles Police Department and his SWAT team are sent to stop a gang of robbers who have taken over a bank. His high-tempered partner and close friend Brian Gamble (Jeremy Renner) disobeys an order, and wounds a hostage. Gamble and Street are demoted by Captain Fuller (Larry Poindexter), the commander of LAPD's Metropolitan Division, who is portrayed as a fussy martinet. Gamble quits following arguments with Fuller and Street, the latter of whom is taken off the SWAT team and sent to work in the "gun cage," where he looks after gear and weapons.

The Chief of Police calls on Sergeant Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson (Samuel L. Jackson) to help re-organize the SWAT division. Hondo is transferred in, and soon puts together a diverse team, including himself, Street, Chris Sánchez (Michelle Rodriguez), Deacon Kaye (LL Cool J), T.J. McCabe (Josh Charles), and Michael Boxer (Brian Van Holt). The team trains together and develops bonds of friendship.

Meanwhile, a drug lord by the name of Alexander Montel (Olivier Martinez) has killed his father and uncle for control of the family's crime empire. Uniformed L.A.P.D. personnel stop Montel for a broken taillight, detain him, and learn through Interpol he is an international fugitive. But as Montel is transferred to prison, his associates, dressed as LAPD officers, assault the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department bus transporting Montel in an attempt to free him. Hondo's SWAT team foils the assault. As Montel is being brought into the police station in front of a group of reporters, he yells to the TV cameras, "I will give 100 million dollars to whoever gets me out of here!"
